Luke Matthew D. de Leon is a prominent figure in the fintech and virtual currency sector, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Saemaul and International Development at Yeungnam University. His academic background has equipped him with in-depth knowledge of the Saemaul Undong movement, a community-based development model originating in South Korea and applied across various countries.
With over four years of experience as a corporate secretary at Providelabs Corporation, Luke has demonstrated his proficiency in preparing contract agreements, drafting opinions, memoranda, and providing counsel on diverse infrastructure and corporate activities. His tenure at Providelabs has also seen him analyzing and evaluating inquiries regarding administrative offenses and real property transactions.
In his most recent role as the head of the Office of Financial Technology and Virtual Currency (Fintech Office) at Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA), Luke oversaw the development, review, and implementation of fintech solutions, virtual currencies, and technological innovations within the economic zone. His exemplary leadership and communication skills were instrumental in negotiating with internal and external stakeholders on these matters.
