Mr. Govett has played an active role in a number of strategic initiatives for the Sultanate of Oman in telecom, fintech and venture capital sectors initiatives as well as acquisitions carried out by Oman Investment Fund. This includes the establishment of the Oman Technology Fund, an early stage tech-focused investment vehicle investing from incubator through to later stage series funding rounds.
He sits on the boards of several companies as well as the charitable organizations. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from University of Sunderland, UK.
