Eric Griego is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in the financial industry. Currently based in Brooklyn, New York, Eric serves as the Co-Founder and CEO of Cross River, a role he has held since October 2021. Cross River is a company that aims to provide a platform for business owners to access financial products and capital markets data. Prior to his current position, Eric founded Betterfin in 2017, where he also served as the Co-Founder and CEO until October 2021 when the company was acquired by Cross River Bank. Betterfin, a Y-Combinator S17 and VC-backed company, focused on helping business owners access financial products and data.
Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Eric gained valuable experience working at OnDeck and Goldman Sachs. At OnDeck, he was responsible for managing the decision services team, overseeing the real-time data orchestration of underwriting models. Eric’s time at Goldman Sachs, from 2008 to 2013, was marked by his work in credit research. He started by focusing on risk modeling for industrial banking activities before transitioning to managing collateral for cross-product derivative trading with institutional clients. His role then evolved into data and research for macro credit, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the financial sector.
With over a decade of experience in the industry, Eric has built a strong foundation in credit research, risk modeling, and financial product development.
