Upasna Batra is an IIM Calcutta alumnus and is currently driving Strategy at PayU India. She has been an integral part of Fintech ecosystem in the country and has won numerous awards- “Young Woman Leader of the Year” Award, hosted by SAP and Zee Business, “Women Achiever’s Award” by FICCI, “Women Leaders in Fintech” Award by World Trade Centre at the 9th Global Economic Summit, “Emerging Leader in BFSI” by BFSI Tech Summit & Awards 2023 and “Versatile Leader of the Year” Award at Asia Leadership Federation, by The Leadership Federation.
She has also featured as the “Most Admired Fintech Professional” listing of 2023 and “Most Admired Payment Professionals” listing 2024, by World Payments Congress and Awards.
She is also a published author and has contributed to magazines like Bombay Stock
Exchange Brokers’ Forum and Summit’s Handbook, published by World Trade Center.
Upasna has been mentoring young minds through various personal and professional
initiatives. As a course advisory committee member of Bombay Stock Exchange, she has
been helping the institute roll-out industry-first Fintech courses, for students and industry professionals. She has been driving Entrepreneurship initiatives at FICCI FLO Mumbai and has launched the first-ever pitch day for tech-driven women businesses. She is also an accredited Mentor on the G20 Women Mentorship Platform.
