Ramkumar is Chartered Accountant & Cost Accountant with a Diploma in General Management from INSEAD, France. With over 35 years of experience in various industries and functions, I have gained expertise in Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Legal & Secretarial matters.
My professional journey has taken me through industries such as Cement manufacturing, Mobile Telephony Services, and R&D/Software development. I have a deep understanding of finance, including financial and management accounting, taxation (both Direct and Indirect, Domestic and International), Treasury functions, Information Systems & Applications, Procurement, M & A, and General Management.
Currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer at Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd, Ramkumar is member of the Senior Business Leadership Team. My contributions include playing a crucial role in the successful IPO of 2005 and leading the M & A activities that resulted in acquisitions in India, Europe, and the Americas. My experience extends to strategizing overseas presence, transitioning corporate functions to India, structuring operations in tax-efficient locations, and managing teams across different geographies and cultures.

I was part of the core team which was responsible for the successful IPO in 2005 and was also part of the M & A team which finalized the acquisitions of enterprises in India, Europe and Americas.
Well experienced in strategizing whether overseas presence should be by way of branch or subsidiary, transition of finance and other corporate functions from high cost overseas locations to India seamlessly and at the same time devising systems and processes to support the core operations from India with all the support activities done from India.
Well versed in structuring operations in tax optimal locations like STPI/SEZ facilities depending on the nature of operations and tax breaks available. I have worked with teams and peers across geographies and cultures.
