Palak joined Peak6 in 2009 after she completed her MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has held various, lead engineering positions across the firm, where she’s worked on complex projects like the firm’s service discovery messaging system, and developed an execution framework to rapidly build trading strategies over, to name a few. In her current role as CTO of CapMan, Palak oversees the strategic and technical direction of the Development, QA, and Infrastructure groups.
Palak is also a big proponent of women in technology and supports groups such as ChickTech, AnitaBorg and actively mentors young girls to explore the field of technology. She’s a member of the ITA Leadership Council that works together to influence the programs and initiatives that will help grow Chicago into a top tier tech hub.
