Ahmed’s career in the payments industry began at CashNet, where he rose to become Head of Support & Implementation. He then took on a pivotal role as Vice President of Visa’s Operations in North Africa and GCC markets, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain. At Visa, he was instrumental in advancing digital payments, enabling e-commerce, driving financial inclusion programs, and fostering digital payment adoption across the Middle East.
With over 23 years of experience across 11 countries in the GCC and MENA regions, Ahmed is renowned for his ability to build high-performance teams, forge enduring commercial partnerships, and serve as a growth catalyst. His visionary leadership extends to board roles at prestigious companies, where he helps shape digital transformation strategies.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and has completed advanced leadership and strategy courses, including the Visa Leadership Program at INSEAD and Strategic Business Management at Harvard University. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology, reflecting his belief in human well-being as a cornerstone of success.
