Currently serving as the CEO of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), he is passionate about organizational ID, data standards, and driving innovation in both traditional and digital financial sectors. Alexandre’s expertise lies in the fields of digital assets, blockchain technology, and data standards.
In his recent role at GLEIF, Alexandre has been instrumental in spearheading initiatives to enhance transparency in the global marketplace through the implementation and use of Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) and verifiable LEI (vLEI). By ensuring efficient onboarding processes, accurate regulatory reporting, and streamlined financial and trade operations globally, Alexandre has played a pivotal role in fostering a more transparent and efficient financial ecosystem.
Prior to his current position, Alexandre held key leadership roles in reputable organizations such as SIX Digital Exchange and Citi Ventures, where he led digital securities initiatives and blockchain development projects. Having co-founded Onchain Custodian, a digital asset custody and open finance service provider in Singapore, Alexandre demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit and vision in building a secure, insured, and compliant custody solution for institutional and accredited investors. His role as the convenor of the ISO TC68/SC8/WG3 working group underscores his commitment to developing international standards such as the ISO 24165 Digital Token Identifier standard, addressing the identification of cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
